I like beer. Seriously. I really like beer. That seems kind of ridiculous because at 150 pounds, I'm what you might call a "lightweight," something my friends love to remind me of any chance they get. No worries though. I can still enjoy good beer.
There have been few beers I've met that I don't get along with. I'll happily drink a Coors Light and then follow it up with a Heady Topper. I'm what I would consider a beer appreciator. Notice the distinction between appreciator and connoissuer. The latter I am definitely not. My tastes are simple, but I do appreciate a well crafted beer when I come across it.
A new brewery named Gearhouse recently opened near me and upon drinking their beer I was blown away. Every beer I tried was top notch. I wanted more. I thought, why not photograph their process and drink beer while doing it? I went and photographed their brewmaster making these wonderfully crafted micro beers and got to see exactly how much care and precision goes into making a quality product.
Take a look at a wider selection of photos from my time at Gearhouse HERE. And the next time you find yourself in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, pop in to Gearhouse and sample some of their delightful brews. Maybe I'll see you there.
